Email QR code
An email QR opens the phone's mail app with your address already in the To field. Add a subject and an opening line and the person scanning only has to type their question and hit send. That removes the step where most people give up: copying a long address by hand from a sign or a flyer.
The prefilled subject is the underrated part. Put a QR in your shop with the subject "Enquiry from the shop" and another on your flyer with "Enquiry from the flyer", and your inbox tells you where every message came from, with no analytics and no extra tools.

This is the only required field. Check it carefully: if it has a typo, the QR gets printed with that typo.

Where it beats a printed address
It works better than an email written on a sign whenever the address is long or hard to spell. Something like "administration@martinezlegalservices.co.uk" typed by hand fails far more often than you would think, and every typo is a lost enquiry you never find out about.
The most common uses are the shop window sign outside opening hours, the footer of a flyer or an invoice, the support label stuck to installed equipment, and the printed CV. For technical support, a subject prefilled with the equipment model saves you the first round of questions.
What this QR does and does not do
The QR opens a draft, it never sends anything on its own. Whoever scans it always sees the message before sending, and can edit or discard it. That is an operating-system decision rather than something this tool controls, and it is what makes this type of code safe to use on a public sign.
The real limit is the phone doing the scanning: the message opens in whatever app is set as the default mail client. On Android with the Gmail app it just works. On iPhone it opens Mail, and if that app was deleted from the phone the link may do nothing at all. For people who use webmail in a browser and never configured a mail app, it is worth printing the address as text under the code too.
One formatting note: accents and spaces in the subject and body are encoded so they travel inside the QR, and they display correctly when it opens. But the longer the opening message, the denser the code. If the text runs past two or three lines, trim it rather than printing bigger.
